CERTIFICATE OF ACHIEVEMENT
A Speech-Language Pathology Aide works as a support professional in the field of communication disorders. This is an entry-level position in which the aide assists a Speech-Language Pathologist in clerical work and therapy-related tasks (e.g., the development of therapy materials, maintaining equipment). A speech-language pathology aide may only work under the direct supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist. They are required to report their employment to the California Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology, and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board. Speech-Language Pathology Aides may be employed in schools, clinics, and medical centers.
