AP 3570 Smoking
Cerritos Community College District prohibits smoking, including the use of cigarettes, cigars, little cigars, snuff, snus, water pipes, pipes, hookahs, chew, electronic cigarettes, vaporized liquids, or other emission-producing products or devices. As Cerritos Community College District is leader in the community, it is the District’s responsibility to align with the Board of Governors of the California Community College in May 2018 passed a resolution for a Smoke and Tobacco-Free Community College System to support the adoption and implementation of 100% smoke- and tobacco-free policies at all 114 California community colleges.
100% smoke- and tobacco-free, means that smoking, including the use of cigarettes, cigars, little cigars, snuff, snus, water pipes, pipes, hookahs, chew, electronic cigarettes, vaporized liquids, or other emission-producing products or devices is prohibited. The policy will apply to all Cerritos Community College facilities, whether owned or leased. Sale and advertising of tobacco products is prohibited in college owned and occupied buildings and in college publications and website.
