K-12 Articulation Agreements

An articulation agreement is a formal document verifying that Cerritos College faculty accept a course from a high school, ROP, or Adult School as aligned to a course at the college. It includes what criteria students must meet to be eligible for college credit for that course. Students may earn college credit at Cerritos College for an articulated K12 course through the Credit by Exam process. Cerritos College has waived residency requirements for the students to receive college credit.

Benefits

  • Students earn college credit while in high school, ROP or adult school program.
  • Students do not need to repeat coursework at the college.
  • Students get basic skills and knowledge prior to college.

Ultimately, students decrease the cost of college tuition and textbook fees, and can complete their college program sooner.
