CARE (Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education) is a specialized program within the EOPS Program for single head-of-household parenting students currently receiving CalWORKs/TANF cash aid.  CARE support is designed to enhance students' employability, minimize public assistance dependency, and establish self-sufficiency through enrollment and completion of a degree or job training program.  In addition to the EOPS supports, CARE provides additional supports to help meet the unique needs of single parenting students with children, such as supplemental grants to support childcare and transportation, workshops and events tailored for parenting students, and referrals to campus and community resources.
