This section of the catalog provides the course descriptions for all courses approved by the Cerritos College Curriculum Committee. All courses, unless otherwise indicated, apply for credit toward an associate degree in accordance with California Administrative Code, Title V, Section 55805.5.
Courses that do not meet the associate degree requirements are indicated with a statement “(Not degree applicable)” beside the course title.
Students are advised to see a counselor for clarification if they have any questions regarding the appropriateness of a course to meet their educational goal. Please check with your counselor and the department for new developments in curriculum that have not been included in the catalog.
Common Course Numbering (CCN)
Common Course Numbering (CCN) is a system used by California Community Colleges to assign the same course number to comparable courses across all community colleges in the state. This system, mandated by Assembly Bill 1111, aims to streamline credit transfer between community colleges and to four-year institutions, simplifying the process for students.
