CERTIFICATE OF ACHIEVEMENT
The Athletic Injury Management Certificate is designed to prepare students to work in the athletic field and the allied health care industry. The required core courses provide students with academic preparation and skills needed for employment as an aide to a physical therapist, athletic trainer, a coach, orthopedic sales rep, and various other allied professions dealing with athletic injuries.
Program Student Learning Outcomes
- Explain basic anatomy and biomechanics in athletic movement.
- Discuss injury and illness prevention and wellness protection.
- Perform prevention, clinical evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation exercises for athletic injuries.
- Articulate organizational and professional health and well-being of athletes.
