ASSOCIATE OF ARTS

For students who are interested in the field of education, seeking to transfer to earn an elementary education teaching credential, or seeking to develop critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills. 

Program Student Learning Outcomes 

  • Develop a social justice educational philosophy that articulates the role of educators as agents of change and inclusive education practices to adapt to the learning needs of all students.

  • Demonstrate understanding of professional educator dispositions and apply foundational skills to interact professionally in educational environments.

  • Contextualize education-related coursework and field experiences in more specific historical, social, and political contexts.
