ASSOCIATE IN ARTS FOR TRANSFER (AA-T)

The Associate in Science for Transfer Degree in Film, Television & Electronic Media is designed to build students’ performance skills in the areas of the film, television and digital media industries –including production and operations; to enrich students’ aesthetic and intellectual proficiency in film, TV & the digital media landscape; and to provide pre-professional training. The program also offers training in traditional motion picture production, film cinematography and television/audio production as well as contemporary courses in documentary production, motion graphics, commercial/PSA production, and digital media content. This degree provides seamless transfer to the CSU system.

ASSOCIATE IN ARTS FOR TRANSFER DEGREE REQUIREMENTS

  1. Completion of 60 CSU-transferable semester units. 
  2. Achievement of a minimum GPA of at least 2.0 in all CSU-transferable coursework. (Some majors may require a higher GPA. Students should consult with a counselor for more information.)
  3. Completion of the major with a grade of "C" or better in each course or a "P" if the course was taken on a Pass/No Pass basis and the "P" is equal to a "C" or better. 
  4. Completion of the California General Education Transfer Curriculum (Cal-GETC). The CSU GE (California State University General Education-Breadth) or IGETC (Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum) pattern may be used in some cases; please see a counselor for details.
