ASSOCIATE IN SCIENCE FOR TRANSFER (AS-T)
Upon completion of the Associate in Science in Hospitality Management for Transfer degree, students will have gained an understanding of the fundamental principles in hospitality and operational competencies needed for continuing academic achievement and professional success. This Associate in Science Degree for Transfer in Hospitality Management is for seamless transfer to a CSU.
Program Student Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate ability to perform basic and supervisory level job functions in hotel and restaurant careers.
- Conduct him/herself in a professional and ethical manner, and practice industry-defined work ethics.
- Perform essential cost control strategies.
- Demonstrate knowledge of current events and future trends, including sustainability, in the hospitality industry and identify the global impact of each.

Associate in Science in Hospitality Management for Transfer Requirements
- Completion of 60 semester units or 90 quarter units that are eligible for transfer to the California State University, including both of the following:
- The Intersegmental GE Transfer Curriculum (IGETC) or the California State University GE-Breadth Requirements (CSU GE-Breadth).
- A minimum of 18 semester units or 27 quarter units in a major or area of emphasis, as determined by the community college district.
- Obtainment of a minimum grade point average of 2.0.
