CERTIFICATE OF ACHIEVEMENT

This certificate prepares beginning students to acquire an understanding of Hispanic cultures and literature to attain fluency in the Spanish language in all areas: speaking, reading and comprehension, and writing. In addition, students will enhance their critical thinking skills, and will be introduced to a variety of Latinx authors. Likewise, it will prepare students to take on potential employment opportunities that require the Spanish language in the workplace.

This certificate is a steppingstone that brings students closer to transfer to a four-year university as it provides the required core for the AA-T in Spanish. Therefore, students who successfully complete the certificate will be able to communicate competence at a proficient conversational and writing level.
