Woodworking Manufacturing Technologies: Furniture Design
CERTIFICATE OF ACHIEVEMENT
The Furniture Design program prepares students for careers in custom furniture design and fabrication, studio furniture making, and small-scale production. Students explore principles of design, ergonomics, and material use while developing strong conceptual, technical, and craftsmanship skills. Coursework emphasizes design ideation, sketching, model-making, and fabrication of original designs using traditional and contemporary methods. Graduates are prepared for employment in custom design/build studios, small manufacturing operations, or for transfer to advanced design programs.

- Demonstrate proficiency in advanced woodworking, joinery, and finishing techniques appropriate for small-scale production and studio practice.
- Produce a professional-quality portfolio that communicates design intent through presentation drawings, models, and finished projects.
